Learn about our services
Therapy that meets you where you are—with compassion, clarity, and care.
At The Nourished Mind, we specialize in counseling that blends clinical depth with emotional safety. Our team offers holistic, trauma-informed therapy that supports the whole you—not just your symptoms.
We work with teens and adults in Texas, offering virtual therapy. Here are some of the areas we’re passionate about supporting:
-
Whether you're deep in recovery or just starting to question your relationship with food, you're not alone. We support clients struggling with binge eating, restriction, emotional eating, orthorexia, and chronic dieting—through a weight-inclusive, non-shaming approach.
This isn’t about control. It’s about coming back to trust. -
You don’t have to wait until you “fix” your body to start feeling better. We help clients untangle body shame, perfectionism, and internalized messages around worth so you can live with more freedom and self-acceptance—exactly as you are.
-
You’re used to being the one who gets it all done—until it starts feeling impossible. We help clients regulate anxiety, shift out of people-pleasing, and set boundaries that protect your peace without guilt.
-
Sometimes the deepest wounds come from our closest relationships. We work gently with survivors of childhood trauma, emotional neglect, abuse, or toxic relationship patterns. This is a space to grieve, rebuild trust, and rediscover your voice.
-
Motherhood. Identity shifts. Mental load. Aging. We hold space for the nuanced emotional experience of being a woman in today’s world—and support you in reconnecting with yourself through it all.
-
Growing up today is complicated. We support teens and young adults navigating identity, body image, school pressure, family issues, social anxiety, and more—with a warm, validating approach that fosters self-trust.
-
We don’t shy away from complexity. We provide affirming, informed therapy for those living with BPD, depression, or mood dysregulation—without stigma or shame. You deserve support that’s consistent, grounded, and emotionally safe.

Why We Are a Private Pay Practice:
Our practice is intentionally structured as a private pay practice so we can provide the highest level of care without the limitations imposed by insurance companies.
Insurance providers often require a formal diagnosis which stays on your record, restrict the number of sessions allowed, and determine what types of treatment are considered “medically necessary.” These restrictions can interfere with the depth and pace of meaningful therapeutic work.
By remaining out-of-network, we are able to prioritize your privacy, offer more individualized treatment, and create a therapeutic process that is guided by your goals, not by insurance guidelines.
Many of our clients choose to use their out-of-network benefits, and we are happy to provide the paperwork needed for reimbursement.
We understand that this can be a barrier to receiving care, which is why we offer reduced rate options. Please call or text 210-816-1366 for more information on reduced rate, as these spots are limited.
Reimbursement through Out Of Network Benefits:
We have partnered with Mentaya, a company that helps you understand your Out of Network benefits, and allows you to submit claims for reimbursement. We cannot guarantee reimbursement and each plan will vary. Click the link below to check your Out of Network Benefits to see if you qualify for reimbursement.
Cancellation Policy
We require a 24 hour notice for canceling and rescheduling appointments . A Fee will be charged for late cancellations or not showing to your appointment. A credit card is required to be on file for active clients and new client appointments and will be charged at the time of service.
